OUR HISTORY

RTI Sealant Specialists Inc. (originally established as Ron Taraba Inc.) traces its foundation back to the work of the founder, Vernon J. Taraba Jr., father of Ron Taraba, whose contributiion to expansion joint systems helped shape early approaches to movement and sealing in building assemblies.

In 1988, Vern was granted U.S. Patent No 4.736.558 for a building expansion and separation joint system. The patent design introduced a poleurethane-based joint with grooved profiles and elastomeric membranes to improve movement accommodation and durability.

The patent reflects an early focus on solving real-world construction challenges related to movement, sealing, and long-term performance-principles that continue to influenece RTI's work today.

 

CONTINUITY & LEADERSHIP

 

RTI's work continued through the next generation under Ron Taraba, carrying forward the company's focus on envelope-critical systems and long term accountability established by his father.

Leadership later transitioned to Sherry Taraba, continuing the company's direction as a woman-led, family-operated business built in consistancy and relation-driven execution.

Today, Lise Dollar supports company operations and project coordination, playing a central role in aligning preconstruction, field execution, and communication across project teams to help ensure consistant delivery on schedule-sensitive and high-accountability work.

Field operations are led and supported by John Greevers, providing field-level oversight across active projects and helping ensure consistent excution, coordination, and adherence to project requirements.

Project execution is further supported by Fernando Reyes, who oversees site-level coordination and project scheduling to help maintain alignment with sequencing, timelines, and field conditions.
